Early Bridges and Building Bridges are literacy programs that uses storytelling and creative drama to promote language development and school readiness skills. Professional Teaching Artists deliver in-class sessions that include interactive storytelling, hands-on activities, puppets and a lot of unpredictable fun! Each program brings stories to life in the classroom and engages students in expressive language skill-building.
Early Bridges (3 years – Pre- K) uses storytelling and theatre arts activities based on Developmentally Appropriate Practice (DAP) for early childhood support early childhood-appropriate literacy skills, such as sequencing, re-telling, vocabulary, and listening skills.
Building Bridges (K - 1st grade) uses storytelling and theatre arts activities to provide age-appropriate, play-based, and imagination-fueled learning experiences that align directly with state standards in theatre and language arts.
